Rev. Jewel M London - Jewel London

Jewel serves on staff at Brookhollow Baptist Church, affectionately known as The Church Without Walls, in Houston, TX as the Pastoral Assistant to Dr. Ralph D. West, Pastor/Founder. There, she supports Dr. West by giving leadership to the Clergy, Diaconate, Liturgy, Ordinances, Transitional Teams, Disaster Relief & Recovery Efforts, and preaching and teaching. Jewel has led these leaders through numerous ministry initiatives designed to undergird the vision of the Pastor, build momentum, and encourage ministry development while ministering to the needs of this congregation of over 10,000 families.

Jewel currently serves on the national leadership team for the IC3 Church Growth & Development Conference, the Progressive National Baptist Convention, the Houston Metropolitan Baptist Ministers Conference, the Governance Board for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Board of Advocates for Baylor University George W. Truett Theological Seminary and Truett’s African American Preaching Conference. She is a founding Board Member of the Texas Baptist Women in Ministry and previously served on the national Baptist Women in Ministry leadership team.

A perpetual student, Jewel has matriculated and lectured in several colleges and universities as well as theological studies including the E.K. Bailey Expository Preaching Conference, Calvary Theological Seminary, George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Proclaimers Place – Regent’s Park College at the University of Oxford; The American University of Paris; Institutuo Maria Santissima Bambina in Vatican City, Rome; and Leucorea University in Wittenberg, Germany.

Her sermons and reflective writings are featured in nationally published works – Oxford Sermons Vol III, This is What a Preacher Looks Like, and What We Love About the Black Church.
